Hello Zabi, you are responsible for Master Data Management at Mentix. What exactly does that mean?

Zabi Amin: At Mentix, I am responsible for Master Data Management, specifically for the implementation of SAP Business Partner and Customer-Vendor Integration (CVI) for our customers. This comprises various tasks, including carrying out a detailed system analysis, supporting data cleansing, creating a target concept, customizing and ultimately synchronizing customers and vendors to a central SAP Business Partner. This approach ensures that our customers can manage their master data efficiently and consistently, which forms the basis for successful business processes.

Why is the SAP Business Partner so important in the transformation to SAP S/4HANA?

Zabi Amin: The SAP Business Partner is a mandatory innovation with SAP S/4HANA and can already be introduced in SAP ECC as a preliminary project. Only with SAP S/4HANA will the SAP Business Partner become the leading entity. By consolidating various transactions for customers and suppliers into the central transaction BP, the handling of master data becomes more efficient. This not only means a reduction in complexity, but also improved data quality and consistency.

What important recommendation do you have for a company on its way to SAP S/4HANA?

Zabi Amin: My most important recommendation for companies embarking on the path to SAP S/4HANA is to complete the synchronization of the SAP Business Partner before the transformation project in order to reduce complexity and conserve internal resources. It is essential to take a close look at the new concept and ensure that all relevant data is converted correctly and consistently. In addition, this opportunity should be used to clean up the existing system and rethink outdated data and processes. A clean and well-structured database is the key to a successful transition to SAP S/4HANA and ensures that the new functions and benefits can be used optimally.

Thank you very much for the interview!
